MIM (MOUNT ISA MINES WHICH IS NOW GLENCORE). They took over exploration of SVM tenements around the area with SVM to receive an equity in any discovery that is advanced to extraction. I don't believe GLENCORE are doing anything but the very basic requirement of the deal they brokered with SVM. Glencore have several operational mines 9gold, copper, lead, zinc) in this area currently.
Malawi is where it's at. In 4 short years SVM will be something. With electricity available - at least one graphite mine operational - a titanium mine operational and if there is alluvial gold present at this new lease/tenement well.....
They have so many saprolite hosted graphite sites with Malingunde being just one - in the more valuable preferred large/jumbo flake category. They are already stating the titanium - being hosted in a preferred sediment is the most sort after/premium titanium and no rush given what they are achieving on these 2 projects but when they progress the gold tenement in the future …..
There is some interesting articles re MCP and UTM if elected - their plans for mining in Malawi. UTM are spruiking up to a 49% stake in mining projects which simply is not viable for investors. You can read the articles on the "Malawi mining and trade review facebook page".
Mining in Malawi website use to provide a download to read the whole publication however they have been extremely slow in doing so over the past 9 months. The other article is interesting with local communities/stakeholders pretty much pointing the finger at govt which bodes well for mining companies that they are open to mining companies on their lands.
