Has been done before with Gold Road in the days of Ian Murray.
I recall at least one occasion was with the JV deal and Gruyere etc. and you are quite correct about being a must listen.
I found the conversation involving the institutions and the principals quite riveting.
At the time Sumitomo were actively bankrolling the southern area exploration and I posed the question to Ian Murray about how the relationship with Sumitomo was evolving now that the JV deal with GLF was sealed. The response from the team was quite simply that Sumitomo was still active but was, unfortunately, the losing bidder and due diligence dictated that GLF was to be confirmed partner.
Given 20.20 hindsight the deal was the correct decision but what a difficult decision to be faced with at the time.
