Van Eck earns a return on the increment in the funds net assets so it must place a value on GOR shares prior to spending $90 million + in one day.If it did not it may be paying above the appropriate value for the GOR shares. To infer that Van Eck merely invests in GOR to achieve a percent weight of their portfolio makes Van Eck sound like a Monty Python group of rubber stamping dodos.Van Eck are skilled, manipulative and greedy money managers and are there to make profits.
The average closing price for the last week was $1.725 so I say the constant jostling by Van Eck to manage the GOR sp drew about 53 million shares out of hiding and the $1.70 trade was pretty close to the mark of the average $1.725.
I do not invest with Van Eck because I pick special stocks like GOR . GO GOR.
To suggest that Van ECK has no view of the value of GOR is an insult to all of our intelligences.
