Gold is sitting on the $1770 support, having made a weak breakout on the channel break. I had feared a similar price action to the Jan 2021 failed breakout. Perhaps the gold sector got ahead of the gold trigger and the release of the Qtr is a bit disappointing on the production/AISC.
Up the stairs and down the escalator. Looking at XGD, it translates to the leaders also getting sold off so I think gold traders are getting out from what they deem a failed gold price breakout.
