Some might view the increases in Profits being reported now as being an outworking of as merely cycling weak pcp base which was Covid-impacted.
But if one takes the MQ21 Pre-Tax Profit result of $1.7m (which excludes Covid-related government subsidies) and project a repeat of that in the JQ21 (which is not overly ambitious given the commentary about the current strength being experienced in the business), Pre-Tax JH2021 would come in at around $3.4m.
Which is not only a strong result compared to the Covid-impacted pcp, but it is actually a record for the company, including during the commodity boom of 2011/2012:
