JK have always iterated that EVN is a margins over ounces gold miner. That is it's niche in the ASX which is now saturated with gold miners.

So the updated lowered production of 650,000 ounces (previously guided at 670,000oz) is not a problem for me because the ounces was never its priority. I do expect increased profitability from strong margins on long life assets. A gold company with a niche like that will prosper throughout the gold price cycles much better than those with a focus on increasing ounces on a quarterly basis.

This is a steady as she goes quarter as far I can see.
