You say that Amplia are doing the exact same thing as CRO-67, but is that really true?

Amplia is using its drug to try and break down the fibrous scar tissue that surrounds cancers like pancreatic cancer, the same as CRO-67 does. Breaking down that scar tissue means that chemo drug are more likely to get to the cancer cells, so a good thing.

But another even better thing to do with pancreatic cancer cells is to block the growth signals that cancer-associated fibroblasts are feeding to the cancer cells. That’s the main aim of CRO-67, something that you would not expect a FAK-inhibitor to do.
