Found the below from 2022 Dec quarterly report. Looks like they are using multiple phase crushers which should be the right type for the hard rock. The issue should be how it was operated rather than the equipment itself.
It was unfortunately that we had all dramas in the last quarter:
1. 8 days power outage
2. 8 days lost due to crusher issue
3. low grade ore
I don't think issue #1 will happen again this quarter.
Also the crushers seem to have contingent capacity. 47% utilization has provided 179,514 tones mill feed last quarter. If the availability is 80%, it will meet the mill requirement(300,000 tons / quarter). So I am not too worried about the crushers.
If the grade for this quarter is 0.9g / ton, they should be able to produce around 9k ounces gold which equals to 32 million revenue at the current gold price.
They have been hiring several operation staff since one month ago. I hope they are considering to extend the operation hours to increase the production.
I think Rod Johns's job is on the line with the current quarter's performance.
