I’m not sure I would use the term ‘misleading’ but the announcements have always been the best version of the truth covered in a lot of mayo. They can argue that that will have a presence in 5000 Walmart stores but realistically it isn’t really the case. People are now discussing Luna as being a red flag but that was just another unexplained event on top of many others. The major red flags for me were the NHS announcements and mass production statements. I can still remember the share price popping to 12 cents on the open after an NHS announcement and then the SP getting smashed throughout the day when people realised the announcement was just fluff. I don’t think things ever really changed from that point with regards to how announcements were delivered even to the point now where they are hiding behind a ‘strategic review’ as the the reason for not trading. It’s farcical.
