That’s the problem for the BOD. They rejected $1.50 so cannot possibly now accept $1.00. Their credibility, or lack of, would be shot to pieces. In my opinion, a takeover is not going to happen. The share price would need to be well above $1.00 before a new bid is offered for them to save face.
The BOD repeatedly said that that bid was grossly undervalued. Since then, there has been a huge decline in share price and the BOD have so far “talked the talk” but not delivered when other companies such as NWL, HUB and FID have seen their share prices increase considerably.
That’s the problem for the BOD. They rejected $1.50 so cannot...
