Definitely, stock price went up last week and so far upward, however this could be deceiving.
Number of reason I can say about reason for market going up on the day when company cancelled dividend:
1. Dead cat bounce ! Yes, it need to go up to dump
2. Insider information (However, I don't see any of such thing is possible because even though HMC buys out part of Healthscope then also the debt will be huge and operational issue won't simply resolved. )
3. Budget support for Healthscope with buy out by government (It would be on front page if that happens but nothing came out even after budget)
time will tell which one it is but i am happy that alternative REIT which I put money buy selling HCW paying dividend (LoL to Noomxx & Tarvold
