I'm finding these rankings are not reliable indicators of actual sales numbers but they are useful for showing overall trends in sales - in particular the Christmas peak and the recent slower period.
The negative publicity over competitor Tic Toc watch's security flaws doesn't appear to be hurting our sales. While download rankings are still volatile (suggesting sales are lower overall than they were in Dec-Jan peak sales), rankings are trending up and are looking strong again over the last 4 days in particular. Easter appears to have had a short term impact on sales but rankings over the last 4 days are on par with those of January.
