I must have missed that bit where it is mentioned SYR are supplying Tesla - what page is it on?
Reading the various graphite threads, seems every man and their dog is "going to be supplying graphite to Tesla"
Only one small problem with that - currently the Telsa partner Panasonic (battery maker) uses synthetic graphite, which they have tested over a long period of time and is the only one that currently fits their "safety profile". Whilst synthetic is more expensive, natural will have to be tested/proven over an equally LONG period before it is used as a replacement for synthetic. Might happen, but might also take some time to happen.
I think folks need to wait for the announcement by Panasonic that they are switching over to natural graphite before they get all hot to trot.
At a recent conference Imery's CTO made the suggestion "synthetic graphite could give battery producers supply security" - something to think about.
