Given the problems at KLL and SO4 and given the fact previous attempts in WA to produce SOP from seawater have failed, I wouldn’t be surprised if a cash strapped BCI ditched or delayed the potash component of this project.
I haven’t looked closely at the economics but presumably a salt only operation is still attractive.
Should they run into problems processing the SOP they could easily blowout costs even further.
This news at BCI is another blow to the WA SOP sector.
