If the ground was prospective they would have found a way to come to commercial terms. It's almost certainly because STO did not consider the ground prospective enough for it to stand on its own merits as an exploration target.

But yes, I take your point that generally speaking, disclosure on the reasons behind decisions is very poor. I notice Surprise oil flow rates haven't been reported recently either, which I am annoyed about. I wanted to update my decline and EUR forecast (hopefully it's not because I posted that...).
