"at the hands of our own workers" - but that's the problem Pro; unionists in this country have just about killed every attempt at manufacturing in this country, and I, unfortunately, don't see this stopping now. Have you just seen the largess handed out to workers on Qld Gov projects by our Premier in conjunction with unions.

Workers across the country have been left stunned after Queensland Premier Steven Miles approved a mind-blowing list of perks for construction workers in the state.

Rolling to the demands of the all powerful CFMEU, the sweetheart deal includes a $100 a week bonus for workers who need to use their mobile phone for work, $1000 a week if they live more than 50km from the worksite and extra pay for tradies who are required to climb eight-metre ladders.

That's in addition to five per cent annual pay rises through to 2027, four weeks annual leave, more than five weeks in rostered days off, 10 public holidays in Brisbane and a picnic day where sites shut down.

Says it all really.
