Ah I understand your point now. Yes that's an interesting point.
However, that doesn't have to be always true. If you were buying coca cola, I would definitely agree with you. However, if it's a law firm, it's not so clear. But I do see your point, as in they paid so much over the book for PSD, yet they didn't think the brand name was worthy.
