I get that SVR has significantly improved its loan book quality the last few years but even then, maintaining bad debts at less than 4.5% will surely be a challenge.
NZ result was bad and NZ is, macroeconomically, where Australia is likely to be in 6-12 months.
How bad do bad debts have to get before SVR's viability is at risk? The board doesn't seem too concerned, especially paying out a 9c dividend.
