In your personal balance sheet you would have lost 30% of equity.
SVR's shareholders equity on its balance sheet is not impacted by a change in the share price.
Shareholders equity = assets - liabilities
Unless SVR is holding its own shares, it has not suffered any losses from a drop in the share price.
Debt/equity ratios are based on a compny's financial situation(balance sheet), not the share price.
