LIS possesses innovative and prospective technologies with significant commercial and environmental potential. "Significant" is an understatement and the backdrop to the potential of its technologies is a global market characterised by massive investments - literally billions and billions of dollars - in battery plants and R&D - taking place today and that are only forecast to strongly grow.

Yet the LIS and PPK share prices languish. Both these companies are asleep, and they are condescending and dismissive of their shareholders. They think that attending an overseas conference and publishing newsletters are the pinnacle of their managerial achievements. Regrettably, they are probably right.

Here is a humble and polite suggestion to the management of LIS and PPK. You are innovative companies, essentially in the startup phase. Behave like that. For starters read Zero to One (Peter Thiel) and The Power Law (Sebastian Mallaby). Then, set ambitious targets for yourselves, your shareholders and - very, very importantly - potential new shareholders. Speak to the movers and shakers with the real money in venture capital (the US and Asia) and global environmental funds and who can invest in your stock and promote it to their network. People with real money are likely to transform your fortunes; not conference attendees. With a tiny bit of effort and discipline you can speak to potential new investors using Zoom every week. They will want to hear about your technologies because that is their job and their commercial focus.

An innovative start up is not a cork that bobs up and down in the ocean or ticks off agenda items that were written three years ago. Smaller companies with less compelling products than LIS are much hungrier and aggressive for success and much more attentive to the financial imperatives of shareholders. They aggressively take charge of their own destinies. That is what LIS (and PPK) must do.
