Just got this news grab off the SOS facebook site:
Sir Julius Chan is the Governor of New Ireland Province in Papua New Guinea, and one of the country?s most senior political figures. Now, Chan joins his voice to growing criticisms of the world?s biggest proposed sea-bed mining project, declaring: ?It is likely that the project would result in severe, prolonged, and perhaps region-wide impacts to a globally rare and poorly understood biological community, and it is clear that the EIS does not adequately assess many of these impacts?.
The project is being proposed by Nautilus, listed on the Toronto and London AIM stock markets. One of its biggest shareholders is Anglo American.
Anglo American aren't they part of GEMCO, and you really think they are sitting back doing nothing with their sea tenaments....ignorance is bliss!
I know you will go with the top paragraph but you must admit it is very interesting to see that Anglo are already showing their support for sea bed mining!
