As far as I know the ekbuy website sells actual products as well as the ekbuy BNPL service product.
That's like a double revenue source. Revenue and profit on the products as well as profit on the BNPL side if that is the payment method used by customers to the website.
It looks like they are considering extending delivery options to other Asian country's for goods purchased from this E Commerce site.
I don't know what the arrangements are now with physical products on the E Commerce site. I also was under the impression that product ordered would be delivered direct from the distributors or manufactures of products with a small margin for CI1.
Perhaps the other three investors and CI1 think that a full on E Commerce with their own warehouse and logistics is worth looking at. A larger product margin is available with this.
Personally I thought the website was just a test case for linking CI1 ekbuy BNPL and an example to show potential retail web clients and others a working example. That way the ekbuy BNPL service product could gain some traction.
CI1 is a financial services company, that is their bread and butter. Perhaps their three partners are doing this E Commerce in a partnership deal and CI1 just gets a cut.
