As usual, you have missed the point , or have simply twisted the facts. I should have known better.

Here is the point in "laymans" terms:

Major chemical companies are experiencing major supply chain problems (see my link).

Chemical companies supply chemicals to labs, both large and small (see my link).

Labs thus have delays (see my link).

In addition you made the generalisation that all labs work through the Xmas break. This is simply not true (see link). All companies take some sort of Xmas break, some more some less. The end result is always a significant slowdown in productivity, accordingly the turnaround of orders, test results etc. etc..

Wake up.
