That last point is why I'm like many still hoping for a settlement in the next few days. Then, it's done. A judgement will probably draw the matter out for another 12 months as in the majority of outcomes I can foresee an appeal by one side of the other.

I do wonder if they would consider a special dividend to attempt to move the share price. The lack of movement in the lead up to this decision has me convinced that the market is very sceptical about supporting law firms again after the pathetic events from mostly Slaters, but also Shine, over the last 4 years or so.

The other factor to note will be if the WIP conversion in the class action side of the business is more reliable than in the legacy PI and WC side of things.

All things to watch.
