Mutineer, I share your thoughts, but realistically, and known to all of us, the management of GAP have faced two significant headwinds over which they have no control: Trump’s tariff’s on China and the significant Australian drought.
That said, I am surprised at the size of the 1h loss and I don’t hold much faith in their outlook for 2h based on past outlook statements. The dividend has to be halved one would think.
We can expect a big fall when markets open, let’s hope the company is diligent in buying back shares to benefit the company and not simply prop up the price.
