I believe the size of the speaker market as defined by the volumes used in traditional applications (Cars, phones, laptops, TVs, HiFi, soundbars etc) could be massively eclipsed by new applications, particularly those for ultrasonic sensors.



By this I mean things like touchless haptics and 3D volumetric displays. The market for chips like AKPs in touchless haptics alone could potentially number in the billions in a few years' time.

Touchless haptics relates to the concept of receiving touch feedback in mid-air via ultrasonic sound waves from an array of ultrasonic speakers - such as AKPs chips. Potential touchless haptics opportunities include: car controls, VR games, TV control, airport check-in & public information booths.
