To be fair it is only a short term remediation to a lake or pond where there is further in flows of phosphorus. Clearly it will be used in conjunction with a wider strategy to solve the overall problem. Elimination of the use of fertilizers from the water reserve's catchment is the first part in any strategy. The product effectively locks up phosphorus suspended in the water to the bottom of the lake. To me it will/would require more than one dose over time and this will be a good thing for the company. I haven't done my research to see whether this is the case though. A sedentary water body may only require the one dose, providing the inflow is minimal. These tend to be highly recreational and so why wouldn't you get it cleaned up from an aesthetics and health point of view.
