You beat me to it - I have exactly the same thoughts.
Having lost money on the shares, who exactly am I indebted to as it was my own money that I invested?
So, do I record all the dates that I bought shares and what I paid for them (including brokerage fees???) and then deduct the value of those shares now to come to a total debt? Or is it only for shares bought within certain time periods?
Help !!!
