On a more positive note - selling off rural business now could be the best way to unlock the value in ELD brand and eliminate the mill stone of debt.
ELD remaining forest assets are probably worthy of holding so long as you dont have to fund operating expenses from debt.
Sell off the automotive business as a standalone entity mmakes sense.
One thought - have ELD received new proposals for the rural business from a new potential suitor? Perhaps even a formal offer from RHL? Who knows. One possible thought is that by selling the rural business as a spin off company it could nullify RHL blocking stake in the sale of the rural business. Forcing RHL to bid or get out.
