Santos are in no hurry so they'll take their sweet time IMO. It doesn't really matter whether it's basement or Heavitree Quartzite because quartzite is pretty much a zero matrix porosity rock anyway (like granite). It was always a given that there are fractures here and without them, there would be no flow whether it was Heavitree or basement.

Palm Valley gas field is another example of a fractured reservoir. It's a sandstone there but a very tight sandstone so there is some matrix flow but it's mostly fractures. The issue is how open the fractures are, and whether they are pervasive and intersecting. At PV they are, you can even see the fractures on the surface, you get this criss-cross patterns over the terrain where the shrubs are all growing in dead straight lines, along the fractures. It's pretty cool to see. You can even see it on Google Maps, I believe.

Mt Kitty is obviously not this good because it only flowed 500 Mscfd, where PV initially flowed 140 MMscfd. The only thing that will save Kitty is the staggeringly high Helium levels. The seismic will help them re-define the trap extent which will be critical because Kitty is currently stranded, so they need to have a damn good idea of volumes before they commit to building a pipeline or another commercialisation option like some sort of on-sight helium processor (in which case they'd just flare off the hydrocarbons).
