In the Georgina area it was reported early that they had trouble with the "rocks", i believe the comments were of cavernous openings encountered while drilling which was not good to extract any gas, probably did not show in seismic studies, not sure on this article.
They did de-sorption testings but nothing from testing was actually passed to the public that i saw.
From Twitter, Total had done what Santos had done and were turning the corner to start capex on other projects, maybe they believe the geology of the Georgina is too hard to make it or they are still consolidating after the bottom of the oil market?
This my own research and just a comment, hopefully an answer or backup could come forward, because we all love certainty.
