    Please see above. Companies go into a trading halt whenever there are material discussion or deals that can greatly effect the share price value. They do this as soon as talks begin to prevent material information leaking out otherwise they could potentially expose themselves to ASIC investigations.

    Please understand this if you want to speculate in penny stocks.
