Very disappointing day indeed for IAM holders. Although I am far from being happy with this outcome. I am optimistic about what happened behind the scenes.
I strongly don't believe this announcement was Sentry Group. The trading halt was worded in a way, that did not represent an existing client or Sentry Group.
It wouldn't surprise me if this was a top tier company, especially since managements strategy has always been to go straight to the top.
There's a good chance that the reason why management walked from this agreement was because this company wanted exclusivity. As PC continues to state 'Were building a business for generations' this would indicate that exclusivity is simply not an agreement that management are willing to make.
As management have had ongoing discussions with Nab, CBA & AMP, this speculation bolds well with me.
Anyway, only time will tell.
