seriously, Donaco bought Star Vegas for $360m USD at a time when Poipet was just a crappy border town. Fast Forward 4 years, Poipet is now a premiere gaming destination for Thai & Chinese. surely, the assets should be priced higher today, than 4 years ago.
sure, Joey Lim might have overpaid for Star Vegas and the EBITDA was much higher 4 years ago. But the land price has also increased since 4 years ago, and Poipet is now not just an ordinary town, it is fast becoming the 2nd biggest gaming destination in Cambodia, and Cambodia is becoming the number one gaming destination in South East Asia.. and 2nd best gaming destination in all of Asia, after Macau.
i message Ben Reichel a couple of days ago urging him to put out a market update. to stave off, another sell off. After Galaxy's opening.. Good to see that he's heeding my advice.
