Also, it does sound like the newsletter is written for a lay audience, ie. the parents of the children involved in the trial - so perhaps that would explain why it lacks elements of an academic presentation of results.

You're right though to treat this newsletter with scepticism. There are a number of elements that don't line up with what NHL has said. For starters, this Transformer project claims it's funded by a CRC-P grant. But there's only one CRC-P grant to examine Tali Detect, which is Novita's partnership with Monash University. So this Transformer Project is in effect claiming to be Novita's official Tali Detect clinical trial. But NHL have stated adamantly that the Transformer Project isn't the CRC-P project that NHL is doing.

Again, someone is lying here. Both the Transformer Projects claims and NHL's claims cannot be true at the same time. So you either decide NHL is telling the truth, and the Transformer Project is one very elaborate hoax that started a year ago, or the Transformer Project's telling the truth, in which case NHL has blatantly lied to everyone. You be the judge.
