He can’t guarantee that less honest actors will not give the patent dice a roll regardless of merit.
Why I personally like the association with Socionext and TCS is because of their reputations for integrity.
Added to this if you look via google at Socionext they are very proactive where protecting their patents is concerned with a hang the cost approach and this is a great reputation to have if as hoped we can swing some sort of ongoing relationship with Socionext as they will defend any patent breach with a vengeance.
