In Internet slang, a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow ** by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion, whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain.

I think the word is very apt as I believe most of the non-holding posters on here who incessantly post negative comments (usually inane and without any foundation) have no altruistic intentions whatsoever . They do so for the reason expressed in the definition above ... "for amusement or a specific gain." It's of course not just BRN that has them ... pretty well EVERY stock on Hot Copper has them.
