I think you’ll probably find that MX1 earn around $30k per unit (USD) from Carestream. EBITDA margins, run at around 25% to 30%.
In the Chairman’s address, 85 units was the production capacity before adding another day. My take is that they’re running at full capacity now to meet these “short notice” orders from the two Asian countries - probably around 12 to 15 units. This would be likely on top of other anticipated POs from Carestream.
What’s being neglected by the market are the US DoD contracts which are due to be signed this year. These run on larger sales prices and greater margins.
Not to mention the two MRFF grants they’re involved in (mobile stroke units and child lung scanners), and the airport security scanners they’re developing in Europe alongside Thales.
Market currently punishing them for a slow ramp in Nano sales, and the repeated CRs (in which retail holders got duped). The slow ramp has been explained, and I’m satisfied it will all be worth it moving forward.
