It is worth remembering that the hospital administrators don't see this device like we investors do. They see it as a tool on wheels(I am quoting a company contact on this point). It has a lot of careful design and innovation in the x-ray head but to the hospital buyers it is "just" a piece of equipment. If it meets their cost constraints and saving targets and makes the head doctors/managers happy then they will likely buy it. The staff who use it day-to-day may love it but they often don't get to influence those buying decisions. Things like reducing TAT and increasing efficiency by giving better patient access are stronger levers than a lone staff member pushing for the purchase.
