The scooter industry is massive.

The NEW ELECTRIC scooter industry will be even bigger.

With governments globally wanting to reduce emission levels AND PHASE OUT fossil fueled vehicles, electric scooters/cars will be a high priority as IMO governments will start increasing licensing fees for fossil fueled vehicles.

VMT will be at the forefront of the industry just like Tesla.

People will buy electric vehicles not only because of the costs savings to run them but because IMO government will give incentives.



Some 14 countries and about 20 cities around the world have proposed banning the sale of passenger vehicles powered by fossil fuels such as gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas and diesel at some time in the future. Synonyms for the bans include phrases like "banning gas cars",^[1] "banning ICE cars" (internal combustion engine), or "banning petrol cars"^[2]. China (the largest auto market globally)^{[citation needed]} is researching a timetable, Japan (number three global auto market) has comprehensive plans for a "hydrogen economy" by 2040^[3], Other markets with proposed bans include the UK, South Korea, Taiwan, also Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal and Costa Rica. The intent to ban vehicles powered by fossil fuels is attractive to governments as it offers simpler target compliance^[4] as it is focused on a specific industry, compared with a carbon tax or phase-out of fossil fuels.^[5] The automotive industry is working to introduce electrified vehicles to adapt to bans ^[6] with varying success. In California, emissions requirements for automakers to be permitted to sell any vehicles in the state was expected to force 15% of new vehicles offered for sale between 2018 and 2025 to be zero emission. Much cleaner emissions and increased efficiency in petrol engines mean this will be met with just 8% ZEV vehicles.^[7]
