In Australia, we have already a pretty efficient ACH system (Bpay, EFT). So, the system is not the problem, it is more the economic dogma: giving money to households, i.e. consumers (the Labour Party probs would like that) or giving money to companies (very much Liberal Party dogma - stuck in Reaganomics and Thatcherism) ... something for another thread.
Giving stimulus payments directly to consumers could, indirectly, drive up the share price of ARB: Households then have extra cash to tune up their vehicles. If the economy gathers pace this way by stimulating consumer demand, it could be good for shares in the consumer space in the first round...
... but these are all extraneous factors ... and impossible to nail down what they mean in the long run for ARB ...
