long time investor... first time poster on this stock....
whilst this ann helps to update shareholders and appease some of the pent up frustration with how long this has been dragging on....
my take on the ann is that chk mgt are fed up with OD being difficult and finally taking control of negotiations setting a date (publicly) to finalise a agreement for the 80%.
CHK have clearly stated their position (which appears to be a rather strong one) and reiterated they will pursue all avenues available.... so imo what they are saying to OD very publicly is - enough of the negotiations now... take it or leave it by next week... we have the upper hand... see you in court if you want to be greedy..
I really admire the approach they have taken here to break the current stalemate... lets hope OD come to their senses and take it seriously and get this done...
