Unless I am mistaken, the special dividend announcement was no surprise and the special dividend ex-date is 21/9/2021. Therefore, MLT must have dropped as a result of SOL's drop. However, apart from market irrationality, I see no clear event causing the SOL drop. Conspiracy theory: SOL held up until after MLT merger.
