I try to keep up with ANZ NAB and WBC- to the extent that a mug punter can.
The big 4- mostly the above 3 have been punished because of competition pressure on NIM. Then ANZ has lost home loan market share by 0.1% and this has been blamed somewhat on processing times on new home loan applications.
I got in at the closing $26.10 on my confidence that ANZ has identified the home loan processing problem and they report that they are making progress towards addressing it. I am confident sector wise that higher interest rates should increase NIM for most banks.
Short to medium term SP pressure on Ukraine. Not to speak lightly on the horror unfolding there- forgive me.
Longer term- covid rates and vaccines are looking positive- but we have been here before- if we can stay safe over here in the western third of the continent. And supply chain issues impacting business.
