I don't see what's questionable about the business model. They've proved they can make well-engineered carbon fibre wheels, and they've proved that there is a demand for them. Now they have to reduce the cost to produce them. The megaline should bring "economy of scale" - I assume that's the main point - not just adding capacity.
CBR is not Tesla, but this is pretty much exactly what Tesla have done - proved they could make an electric car, proved there's a market and then work to reduce the cost until profitibality. It took 18 years apparently. And maybe Tesla and/or CBR will both fall in a heap, but nevertheless I feel like the model - prove the product, prove the market, reduce cost to profitability through economies of scale - is pretty standard stuff.
Maybe CBR will fail to reduce the cost sufficiently to make a profit, but they clearly are aware of the need and are working hard to get there. I'm well aware there's a risk, but my money is on "succeed".
