These guys should have thought of a better method of coupling each barrier together as having workers having to get their hands and feet close to the joining parts is asking for trouble with pinch points.
Nice design but not fully thought out, however a tool consisting of a long handle with a grapple on the end would isolate the worker's hands from getting pinched
