    I have doubts that management and the board actually understands the expected return on their own capital.

    The fact that a lot of announcements talk about ROIC at the investment level, well, what about ROIC at the company level?

    Seems unlikely the board, management, or anybody, really knows that. Hence why at present it seems to be a capital destruction machine.
