Cooke was definitely cooked but I think Steve has better relationships with just about everyone involved by the sounds of it. It was even mentioned in the Bell 2 about his ability to navigate the current situation with success over the previous CEO. Obviously he is good at communicating without being a door mat but not being arrogant about it either. I'd say Cooke did lay some ground work but just not an A Class operator like Steve McCann, I've seen heaps of jobs to run Hungry Jacks franchise's so maybe that is more his pace lol
