Agree with your thoughts. Personal and derogatory comments make zero benefit to anyone. If you don't value the Board or management either short the stock or simply sell / don't invest.
Regarding the announcement today if there were known negatives or discussions terminated ,under regulation , management would be obliged to disclose.
Given the Chinese proposed rare earth regulatory changes, this may take more time to play out.
On a comparable valuation metric the stock looks cheap, however the company has negotiations to complete and management must ultimately execute.
