    I think it is a smart move from MS to look further to create more revenue growth.
    If you look at Coca-cola and PepsiCo, cola has only one line of source income. When you look at PepsiCo they do al kinds of stuff and always will be looking for new resources. This way PepsiCo is way bigger than coca cola. Even you didn't expect it would be, probably.
